Associated Systems Professionals (ASP) is a Managed IT Services, Application Development and Web Design company operating in the Charleston, West Virginia area since 2004. The owners are systems engineers, developers and designers that want to create their dream jobs and a work environment that encourages collaboration and learning for their employees. Our clients originated in the medical industry in West Virginia and have expanded to reach almost every industry in several surrounding states. We provide Managed IT Services in Charleston and the surrounding area as well as develop software applications for large hospital organizations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and West Virginia that provide information about patient services.

Dan Tate

CO-OWNER, MANAGER

Dan returned to West Virginia in 1991 is wife Liz and a newborn son. With a desire to raise his family in The Mountain State, Dan spent many years leading scouts, coaching soccer and being a band dad. During those early years Dan was the leading Novell NetWare expert in the Kanawha Valley. As the 2000’s approached Dan turned to the dark side and obtained his MSCE then proceeded to replace all those Novell systems with Microsoft Windows Servers. Dan uses his experience to consult for clients to find the best technology solutions possible. Under Dan’s vision and leadership, ASP has grown steadily since 2004. His latest quest is to obtain his MBA from WVU. Dan received his undergraduate degree from Fairmont State College. Now with an empty nest, Dan spends his free time playing music (trumpet) with community groups, local theater, and churches.

Scott Duernberger

CO-OWNER, MANAGER

A West Virginia native, Scott graduated from DuPont High School. He started his Computer Science degree after being recruited by Rio Grande for soccer. He finished his Management Information Systems degree from Marshall. Post grad, he obtained his MCSE in 2000, CCNA, and started developing databases. He has a natural knack for technology and a down-to-earth personality that wins the hearts of ASP customers and his employees. At the center of Scott’s life are his wife Nicole and their three sons. Their oldest Keanu is in the US Marine Corps serving our country. Their two younger sons Voss and Odin keeps them on the go with school and are very active in sports.

He has a natural knack for technology and a down-to-earth personality that wins the hearts of ASP customers and his employees. At the center of Scott’s life are his two sons, who he coaches in soccer and basketball.
