WordPress Developer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- All aspects in development of new and existing WordPress websites
- Write custom PHP, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery for custom functionality as needed
- Conduct WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates, test, and fix issue as needed
- Provide support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for client websites
Competencies:
- Technical experience with WordPress core, theme, and plugins
- Knowledge of HTML5, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3 Frameworks (Grid, Flexbox, Bootstrap), MariaDB (MySQL)
- Personal initiative and ability to multitask
- Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Bonus skills:
- Previous agency experience
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Git
- Experience with cross-browser and mobile device testing
- Photoshop or design skills
- Understanding of hosting, DNS
- Impeccable client communication skills
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred and at least one year to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education (Bachelor’s, Associates, or certification) and experience.
